Dr. Manthri offers specialist care to patients with conditions affecting any organ system as well as those patients experiencing chronic illness affecting one or more organs. She specializes in kidney disease management and prevention.

Dr. Manthri's practice is situated on the second floor and is now accepting referrals from area primary care practices.

The HFHC provides full primary, multiple specialist and urgent walk-in care to the greater Halton community, continuing to expand our multiple services in providing superior healthcare to the community.

We would like to share and acknowledge you on 2 frequent questions that we are receiving often regarding Covid-19 vaccine and mask exemption.

***Letter of exemption from COVID-19 Vaccine. Our doctors cannot provide letters of exemption or fill out exemption forms for COVID-19 vaccines unless an allergist / immunologist-confirmed severe allergy or anaphylactic reaction to a previous dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or to any of its components that cannot be mitigated; a diagnosed episode of myocarditis /pericarditis after receipt of an mRNA vaccine).

***Letter of exemption for masks. Our doctors will not be providing letters to exempt patients from wearing masks.

The Ministry of Health has set out very clear guidelines as to who qualifies for a vaccine or mask exemption, and they can be found at health.gov.on.ca

It is the customers responsibility to contact their airline/travel agent or destination point to verify what COVID-19 tests are required for entry.


What to do if you have a positive COVID-19 rapid antigen test.

A positive rapid antigen result means that you may be infected with COVID-19. However, antigen tests may occasionally produce false positive results, and you will need a regular Laboratory test in order to confirm your result.
Here are key steps to follow if you get a positive rapid antigen result:

1. Confirm the result

- Get tested as soon as possible (ideally within 48 hours) at a local COVID-19 assessment centre participating licensed community lab or specimen collection centre, where available. Go to covid-19.ontario.ca to find one near you.

2. Self-isolate

- Go home immediately and sett-isolate at home until you receive your confirmatory Lest result,

               This means that you should only leave your home for critical reasons (like a medical emergency) and avoid contact with other people (including your household members).

- If your confirmatory test is positive, you will need to continue self-isolating, and your local public health unit will be in contact with you.

3. Safely return to work

- You need to receive a negative result from a confirmatory test at an assessment centre before returning to work.
- If you do not get a confirmatory test, you should remain self-isolated until 10 days have passed since your positive antigen test result.

If you do not get a confirmatory test you should inform everyone you were in close contact with in the 48 hours before your antigen positive result that they should self-isolate and get tested.

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve, we want you to know that we are thinking of you.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, all physicians at our office have been accepting virtual appointments over the phone and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. In-person appointments have also been made available. Please only one medical concern to be discussed at a time, when booking for virtual appointment.

Please continue to call us for any health care concerns that you have, and we will be happy to schedule you for a virtual or in-person appointment.

As we all need to accept that we will now be living a new "normal", the highest level of health and safety standards will continue to be in place at our clinic. To prevent further spread of COVID-19, we have put additional precautionary measures in place such as patient screening for COVID-19 symptoms, staggered appointment times to limit clinic traffic, 6ft markers on the floor to help patients physically distance from each other and extra cleaning between visits. Patients are being taken directly into exam rooms upon arrival and hand sanitizer is also readily available upon entry to the clinic. Additionally, we are also working to install plexiglass barriers at the reception areas.

We are also asking all patients over the age of 2 to wear a non-medical face covering when coming into the clinic.

The safety of our patients, staff and physicians is our number one priority, and we sincerely hope that the measures we have put in place will make all patients feel safe and more at ease when visiting our clinic.

At a time like this, it is important to stay positive and look towards a brighter future when this is all in the past. But until that time, we must continue to work together to do our best to fight against the spread of COVID-19.

Our physicians are capable of diagnosing and treating everything from coughs and colds to sprains and fevers. Unlike at other clinics, they have immediate access to on site X-Ray/Ultrasound, laboratory with stat reporting, pharmacy and physiotherapy - meaning they can provide a truly full service walk-in clinic, even at off-peak operating hours.

Note: The walk-in clinic is designed for treatment of health conditions that require prompt attention but do not pose an immediate health threat. If you have a life-threatening condition, dial 911 and/or proceed to the nearest hospital emergency department. The clinic is not intended for routine or chronic medical care.
